1 Micron
Fine particle polishing
Current ratingA 1 micron melt blown filter cartridge is the finest listed grade in this PP depth-filter series. Consider it for fine suspended-solids polishing when the downstream process requires a finer prefilter than 3 or 5 micron.
Three-layer graded polypropylene media, with dimensions and connection options matched to your filtration system.

Check clean pressure drop and solids loading before selecting 1 micron. A coarse upstream stage may help avoid loading this fine cartridge too quickly.
Depth media captures particles through a fibrous structure rather than through a single woven aperture. Actual performance depends on media construction, liquid viscosity, flow, particle distribution and cartridge loading. This cartridge is intended for suspended particles; it is not a desalination or dissolved-contaminant treatment stage.
Listed construction options are based on the INCE melt blown cartridge series specifications. Confirm availability of the complete combination before ordering.
| Item | Specification / selection requirement |
|---|---|
| Filtration rating | 1 µm; efficiency and test method to be confirmed |
| Filter media / structure | PP polypropylene; three-layer graded depth media |
| Nominal lengths | 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 inch; confirm actual sealing length |
| Diameter options | 63 / 115 mm OD; 28 / 30 mm ID; confirm the selected pairing |
| Core / end caps | PP or stainless steel center core options; PP end caps |
| Seals | Silicone, EPDM, NBR or Viton options; compatibility review required |
| Assembly | Hot-melt-welded connections without adhesive |
| Series temperature limit | Listed maximum 70°C; confirm configuration and liquid suitability |
| Series differential-pressure limit | Listed maximum 2.0 bar at 21°C; this is not a housing pressure rating |
| Change-out differential pressure | Request a confirmed limit for the ordered cartridge. Do not exceed the applicable cartridge or housing limit. |
| Flow rate | Request the 1 µm pressure-drop curve for the selected length and diameter |
Temperature and pressure limits are not a guarantee of simultaneous operation at both maxima. Sanitization or steam use requires a separately approved configuration and operating procedure; a stainless steel insert alone does not establish steam compatibility.
Choose between these grades using the downstream particle limit and measured pressure drop. A 1 micron label alone does not establish removal efficiency or membrane protection.

Explore 3 micron cartridges →Fine prefiltration for process liquids
Explore 5 micron cartridges →Compare like-for-like dimensions and test conditions. A finer stated rating does not provide a fixed service-life, efficiency or flow-rate ratio.
Provide a dimensional drawing or an existing cartridge sample. Check actual length, OD, ID, support and sealing faces rather than relying only on the nominal inch size.
The series lists flat, 215, 222, high 222 and 226 connections, with tip and cover options. Confirm the adapter and opposite-end arrangement as a complete assembly.
Specify the liquid, concentration and temperature. PP media, center core and gasket compatibility must all be checked for the proposed process.
Evaluate suspended-solids removal and staged prefiltration using feed-water analysis. RO pretreatment requires the membrane supplier’s specified particle-removal performance.
Consider compatible chemical and industrial liquid clarification. Select the rating against the actual downstream requirement and verify flow at process viscosity.
Food, beverage and other controlled processes require application-specific material declarations and qualification. Request the documents for the exact supplied configuration.
A 1 micron melt blown filter cartridge is the finest listed grade in this PP depth-filter series. Consider it for fine suspended-solids polishing when the downstream process requires a finer prefilter than 3 or 5 micron. The stated micron rating must be paired with a retention efficiency and test method; it is not automatically an absolute rating.
Choose between these grades using the downstream particle limit and measured pressure drop. A 1 micron label alone does not establish removal efficiency or membrane protection.
The series lists 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 inch nominal lengths, 63 or 115 mm outside diameters and 28 or 30 mm inside diameters. Confirm the exact combination and dimensional drawing for the selected rating.
Confirm actual length, OD, ID, end interfaces, sealing arrangement and gasket material against the housing drawing. A matching micron rating or nominal length alone does not establish compatibility.
Suitability depends on liquid compatibility, required retention, operating conditions and application-specific documentation. Ask for relevant material declarations and validation; the cartridge is not presented as a sterilizing-grade filter.
Use an approved change-out differential pressure below the applicable cartridge and housing limits, or replace earlier if process quality or flow requires it. Obtain a confirmed threshold for the ordered configuration.
Send the micron rating, dimensions, end-cap drawing or sample, core and gasket requirements, liquid, flow rate, temperature, operating pressure, solids loading, quantity and required documentation.
