12 Bag Filter Housing

The INCE-MB-12 12-bag filter housing holds twelve filter bags in parallel inside one stainless steel vessel for industrial liquid filtration. This twelve-bag filter housing is available in 304 or 316L stainless steel, with a listed Ø950 mm barrel, DN200 flanged connections and 360 T/H reference flow.

Select the housing together with the bag media, retention target and process conditions to establish a practical operating duty.

Stainless Steel Twelve-Bag Filter Housing

Parallel bag filtration

The liquid is distributed through twelve bag-and-basket assemblies before reaching the outlet. Twelve parallel bags increase available filtration area relative to one equivalent bag.

Stainless steel construction

The series offers 304 and 316L stainless steel. Select the alloy and gasket against the complete fluid chemistry, concentration, temperature and cleaning requirements.

Serviceable cover arrangement

The series uses a davit-arm cover arrangement to assist handling. Confirm access space, lifting clearance and the final cover mechanism for the ordered model.

12 Bag Filter Housing Specifications — INCE-MB-12

Model-specific values below are taken from the existing Incefiltration multi-bag product table. Series-level options require confirmation for the final assembly.

How to Size a 12 Bag Filter Housing

Start with the liquid

Provide normal and peak flow, density, viscosity, temperature and liquid composition. Viscous liquids cannot be sized from a water-like reference flow alone.

Define the filtration duty

State micron rating, required capture efficiency, solids concentration and desired service interval. Select compatible media and establish acceptable clean and terminal pressure drop.

Confirm the installation

Check nozzle standard, pipe size, footprint, drain and vent positions, lid clearance, basket removal height and access for bag changes.

Understanding 360 T/H: this is the listed mass-flow reference. For liquid density ρ in tonnes/m³, volume flow is Q = 360 ÷ ρ m³/h. Water near 1 tonne/m³ gives approximately 360 m³/h, but this conversion does not validate the housing's capacity for a particular filtration duty.

10 vs. 12 vs. 14 Bag Filter Housing

The twelve-bag model sits between the ten- and fourteen-bag configurations. All three list DN200 flanges, but their barrel diameters differ. Compare available space and required bag service interval as well as the reference flow.

Selecting INCE-MB-12 for your process

Provide normal and peak flow, liquid density and viscosity, filtration grade, solids loading and allowable pressure drop. The listed 360 T/H is a reference value, not a guaranteed operating flow. Confirm bag dimensions and total effective filtration area for the proposed assembly.

Plan access to all twelve bags, basket removal height, drain and vent locations, and safe cover handling. This is a single vessel with parallel bags: maintenance requires isolation and depressurization of the entire housing. A separately engineered duplex installation is needed if the process must continue during service.

304 / 316L Stainless Steel Housing Options

Bag media & micron rating

Select the media for chemical compatibility and retention requirements. The housing does not determine filtration micron rating. Confirm bag length, collar profile and basket support.

Connections & seals

DN200 flange is the listed INCE-MB-12 connection. Specify the flange standard, pressure class and orientation; discuss alternatives separately. Select a compatible gasket.

Finish & documentation

The series lists mechanical polishing and sandblasting. Specify any surface-finish, inspection, material traceability or pressure-vessel documentation requirements before quotation.

12 Bag Filter Housing Applications

Process water

Particulate removal before downstream equipment, subject to the required particle size and actual solids loading.

Coatings & compatible chemicals

Removal of process debris or agglomerates after assessing chemical compatibility and product viscosity.

Cooling & working fluids

Screening compatible circulating liquids to reduce larger contaminants before sensitive process equipment.

Food & beverage process liquids

Evaluate only with suitable wetted materials, seals, finish and required food-contact documentation.

Pre-filtration

Use as a selected stage before finer filtration. Twelve bags in parallel do not provide coarse-to-fine staging.

OEM filtration skids

Integrate with piping, valves and instruments according to the process duty and maintenance-access requirements.

Plan for Safe Bag Changes

Monitor differential pressure across the filter and use the limits specified for the bags and vessel. For bag replacement, follow the equipment procedure: stop flow, isolate the vessel, relieve pressure, verify zero pressure, cool and drain as required, then open the cover. Inspect the baskets and seals before installing a matched set of replacement bags.

A davit arm assists cover handling; it does not permit opening a pressurized vessel. Confirm vent, drain, isolation and lifting provisions in the installation design.

12 Bag Filter Housing FAQ

What is a 12 bag filter housing?

It is a single vessel containing twelve filter bags in parallel, each supported by a basket. The bags normally share the same inlet and outlet; this is not a two-stage series filtration arrangement.

Does twelve-bag capacity specify the filter bag size?

No. Twelve bags describes the number of bags inside the vessel. Size #2 describes a bag size. Confirm the required bag dimensions, collar and basket depth on the approved drawing.

Is this a duplex filter for continuous operation?

Not by itself. A twelve-bag vessel has a common pressure boundary and must be isolated and depressurized for servicing. Uninterrupted changeover requires a separately designed duplex arrangement with isolation and changeover valves.

Does INCE-MB-12 guarantee 360 m³/h?

The existing product table lists 360 T/H as reference flow, not a guaranteed operating duty. For water near 1 t/m³ this is approximately 360 m³/h. Actual capacity depends on viscosity, density, bag media, micron rating, solids loading and allowable pressure drop.

Can the housing use different micron-rated bags together?

Parallel bags do not create sequential filtration stages. Use a matched set for a defined filtration duty unless an engineered design specifies otherwise. For coarse-to-fine filtration, evaluate separate stages in series.

Which stainless steel and gasket should I choose?

The series lists 304 and 316L stainless steel with silicone, FKM, PTFE or EPDM seal options. Selection depends on the complete liquid composition, concentration, temperature and cleaning regime. Confirm the final assembly limits and documentation in the quotation.
